When Life Coaching May Not Be the Best Fit
- If You Need Therapy: Coaching focuses on the present and future, not resolving past trauma or mental health issues. A therapist is a better choice if you’re dealing with these challenges.
- If You’re Unwilling to Take Action: Coaching requires effort and commitment. If you’re not ready to make changes and do the work, the process may not be effective.
- If You Expect Quick Fixes: Growth takes time. Coaching is about sustainable change, not instant results.
What to Expect From Coaching
- A programme designed around your needs; when you meet your coach, they will work through your expectations, the goals you want to reach and the approach that works for you. They will design the programme around you.
- Sessions Tailored to You: Each session focuses on your goals and challenges.
- Practical Tools and Techniques: Coaches often provide exercises and frameworks to support your journey.
- Work between sessions – To support your transformation, your coach may ask you to do some activities between sessions. These will be designed to help your learning and to enable you to embed it in every day life.
- Empowerment to Act: Coaching encourages you to take ownership of your progress
- Celebration Your coach will notice your progress , even when you don’t! They will show you how far you’ve come and celebrate with you!
